RTC Wrapped

RTC Wrapped recaps your collecting on one shareable screen: the items you added, how your collection's value changed, your top platform and your biggest find. It's available to any signed-in member, on every plan including the free one.

What's in it​

Wrapped pulls together the highlights of a period from the data already in your collection. It covers:

  • Your collection's value at the start and end of the period, and the change between them.
  • The number of items added.
  • Your top platform: the platform you collected most.
  • Your biggest find: the standout item from the period.
  • What you spent and what you earned, and how many sales you made.
  • Sets completed and badges earned.

Because it's built from your own collection, there's nothing to set up.

Wrapped can only show a value change when there are at least two portfolio snapshots spanning the period. Until then it tells you what the collection is worth, with no growth percentage. Snapshots accrue from the day you start, so a new account has nothing to compare against yet. See Analytics for how those snapshots work.

Pick a period​

Wrapped opens on the last twelve months. From the picker you can switch to a specific year (the current year or any of the four before it), and optionally narrow it to a single month within that year. The recap rebuilds for whichever window you choose.

Wrapped works the same on web and mobile. On a phone it's laid out as a vertical, story-style card that's easy to screenshot and share.

Share your recap​

  1. Open RTC Wrapped.
  2. Choose the period you want to recap.
  3. Scroll through the cards: value change, items added, top platform and biggest find.
  4. Use Share to send the recap's public link.

Every recap you generate gets its own unguessable link, so Share sends a link that already exists. Nothing is published at the moment you tap it.

Two things about what you're sharing:

  • The shared page is a frozen copy. It shows the figures as they were when the recap was generated, not your collection as it is now. Later additions and value changes do not leak into a link you've already sent.
  • It is public. Anyone with the link can open it without an account. The shared view is pinned to its own period and has no period picker, so a recipient cannot browse the rest of your collecting history from it.

Money figures on a shared recap keep the currency you were displaying when it was generated. A viewer with no account has no currency of their own, and still sees the amounts labelled correctly.

A nudge when it's ready​

Once a year, near year-end, you'll get a push telling you your annual Wrapped is ready. It's sent once per year and follows your Wrapped notification preference, so you can turn it off under Notifications.

Community Wrapped​

Alongside your personal recap, Community Wrapped is a platform-wide look back across the whole RetroTechCollector community. It contains no personal data, so it's open to everyone without an account.

It covers how many collectors took part, the average and median collection value, the top platforms and categories, total items added, total spent and earned, and sets completed. It uses the same period rules as your own Wrapped, and is recomputed at most once a day, so the figures can be up to 24 hours behind.
